The Black Church is more than an institution—it is a movement shaped by history, culture, and faith. In this class, Rev. Elena Bronson will guide participants through an examination of the origins, development, and mission of the Black Church. Together, we will explore questions such as: What defines the Black Church? Why did it emerge, and how has it been distinguished from other religious traditions? What is its enduring commission in today’s world? Designed to spark meaningful intergenerational dialogue, this study will honor the legacy of the Black Church while challenging us to carry its fire of faith and purpose into the future.
